Fleastyle Forever!

My very first blog post stemmed from my overwhelming first experience with Fleastyle and their show in 2016. I was so inspired by the images I captured, I decided to start this blog and continue my venture into the flea industry (and photography industry of course!).

I can now say that I have successfully launched my very own flea market shop and continue to sell, shop, upcycle, remodel, and recraft. Maybe someday I’ll find myself vending at Fleastyle!

I was lucky enough to be asked by the Fleastyle founder Brittany Cobb to shoot their recent Summit event, and my oh my did this team of creatives not disappoint! I wish I could have soaked up more of the information provided by the panelist and attending makers and shakers, so I guess that means I’ll just have to attend the next one in the spring and actually take notes.. The conference covers everything from how to start your business and market yourself with advice from the pros to an arts and crafts session including a DIY succulent station!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day. If you are not familiar with Fleastyle, please check them out at Fleastyle.com! You can also shop the flea anytime at their online store

The venue was the incredible space at WeWork at Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas.

Floral arrangements were provided by panelists Bows & Arrows.

Here they are with Alli Koch, author of How to Draw Modern Florals. Alli will also be signing her books at the fall show on October 21st. Check out her incredible, endearing, and motivating podcast: Breakfast With Sis! Available on iTunes!

I could have listened to Magnolia’s Hilary Rose Walker talk about design and small town Texas all day! Her panelist partner Jon Tutolo of One Kings Lane had some incredible things to say about working with A-list celebs and the fast paced fashion and design industry.

No Fleastyle event is complete without shopping, and their perfectly merchandised pop up shop did not disappoint – I even picked up a perfect vintage chocolate brown Neiman’s vest!

Of course my favorite part of the Summit was the crafting session!! Local makers collaborated to bring wood crafts, paper crafts, hand lettering, and succulents to attendees who had a blast creating items to take home! Of course I had to get in on the action too, and my hens and chicks are growing in their Fleastyle mug wonderfully.

Of course none of this would be possible without this team of incredible, inspiring, hardworking GIRL BOSSES of Fleastyle!! Brittany, Alyssa, Grace, Deanna, and your interns and temps made all this happen somehow.. magically.. and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the fall show! Tickets are available on their site! See y’all at the flea!
